CPFL Energia, one of the largest electricity companies in Brazil, announced that it invested a total of R$16.6 million in solar energy projects for hospitals in its concession areas during the first quarter.<\/p>\n
The initiative aims to guarantee the supply of clean, quality energy to healthcare facilities, especially during times of energy crisis.<\/p>\n
The projects include the installation of solar energy systems in 18 hospitals in the cities of Campinas, Hortol\u00e2ndia, Ituverava, Jaguari\u00fana, Jaguari, Mogi Gua\u00e7u and S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 do Rio Pardo, all located in the state of S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>\n
In addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and decreasing dependence on fossil fuel energy sources, the projects will also bring cost savings to hospitals (with these actions, the company estimates savings of approximately R$ 770 thousand per year), which can then direct the saved resources to invest in infrastructure improvements and patient care.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
